Chris Reynolds Gordon
Chris was an extremely talented athlete and won National titles in both the 800m and 1500m, competing for England and Great Britain across every single age group from Junior Boy, to Inter Boy, to Junior Man and Senior Man. His national title tally is in double figures and by the time he was18, Chris was the National 800m Champion, the England Schools champion, the Fastest 18 year old in Europe for his age and one of the fastest in the world for his age. He also ran 3:46 for 1500m (almost a mile) and had an unconditional offer to uni.
After some personal issues at the age of 18 he didn't see his parents for a year and a half. It was the worst time he had ever experienced and his athletics went dramatically down hill. He still managed to come second in the national championships however considering he had won it the year before, this was a huge blow to him.
His girlfriend at the time and her parents were amazing during that time period. After a year and a half at the age of 20 and suffering with severe depression he wrote a letter to his parents saying "lets draw a line under the past, you never know what will happen next year" they responded and they made up. He had an amazing six months and then suddenly Chris’ mother died.
Chris was devastated, however he tried to take the positive that it doesn't matter how long you have with someone because its the quality of time you have with someone that matters. He stated he would rather have 6 months of amazing than one hundred years of ok.
Chris then inherited £360,000 and invested thousands into his education to learn how to trade technical analysis chart patterns specialising in the FTSE 100. He then moved onto forex markets and doubled his trading account in 9 months going short on the banks, the Cable and making a fortune in one day when Lehman Brothers went down shorting the FTSE 100 as the price plummeted.
He then wanted to focus on trying to make the Olympics in Beijing so bought 6 off plan properties in Dubai, 4 in Morocco, 2 in Egypt and a property in the UK giving a portfolio of millions (on paper) setting him up for life.
However what he didn't know (along with some of the most educated businessmen and entrepreneurs in the world) was one of the biggest recessions the world had ever seen kicked in and he lost everything including his path in life.
He started to suffer with depression again and decided he wanted to get it back and for some unknown reason decided he wanted to trade rough diamonds. It dawned on him very quickly that no one would take him seriously unless he had proof of funds.
After speaking to some of the larges diamond buyers around the world he structured proof of funds for $390,000,000 (three hundred and ninety million dollars) signed off by his banking manager of one of the worlds top tier one banks.
Based on this he was invited to Moscow where he was picked up in a red plated car and stayed at The Presidents Hotel.
He met President Putin and Pavel Borodin (The State Secretary of Russia and Belarus)
He met with the president of Alrosa, however did not get the answer he was looking for which began his depression again.
Chris attempted to end his life leaving a letter on his bed but he could not go through with it and decided to leave for South Africa, and train for the Olympics in London with a fresh start. When he left the UK Chris stated he would be surprised if he was in the top 200 fastest runners in the country. When I came back from SA after only 6 months of hard training he came 6th in the National Indoor Championships. He had no funding and no financial sponsorship so decided to quit athletics.
He then applied for jobs. Within weeks he was hired and made director of a brokerage firm on Lloyds avenue within the square mile of Central London. Things started to fly and within a few months he was earning great money and living in beautiful million pound gated house in house in Surrey only six months after he had quit running penniless.
Then his business partner ran off and left him in financial difficulties. He was penniless and friends supported him by giving him a place to stay. He then sofa surfed for three months and stayed in youth hostels. He then decided to save money and lived on a changing room floor for another three months. He worked for a really great guy for free in exchange for shares in his company and also worked a night shift in a youth hostel n Kings Cross, which he used to stay at, so he could pursue his dreams of being an entrepreneur during the day. He was working crazy hours night and day and it didn't take long before he got very ill with sleep deprivation.
Chris tried taking his life one more time before deciding to stand up to depression and never give up. Chris went on to create and own a number of successful companies two of which he hopes to IPO
Chris’ main focus and passion is helping others become strong in mind because this is the starting point for all you want in life and tells his life story not to “impress people” but to “impress upon people” that by going through the tough times his life has been more exciting and hopefully it will inspire others to never give up on their dreams.
Chris always proclaims he is not perfect but if he dropped down dead tomorrow at least he could say "I lived."
The above is just a few of many wild and wonderful experiences Chris has had between the ages of 18 and 29. There are many more which he has chosen to share at a later date.

Chris has a passion for helping those who want to turn things around. He does this for no financial gain as he was low and managed to turn things around when he didn't see a future.
