From this point on Chris suffered with depression and struggled to bring his training together with different coaches. He came back to train with his original coach (his dad) again in 2006 aged 21
 
2006 : Undefeated. Coached by John reynolds
 
This year Chris' mother died and he came back after just a few months of training with his dad. He won ever single race he entered and ran his persoanl best of 1.47 for 800m. He flew to Istanbul (Turkey) to run for his beloved club in the European Club Championships. He won the 800meters and helped secure gold for the 4 x 400m team too. 
 
Chris tried to keep his athletics going but with a lack of stability, funds and suffering with depression he finally quit athletics in 2011 after coming 6th in the National Indoor Championships.
